Duncanville Industrial & Manufacturing
Major manufacturing industries within the City produce items such as corrugated storage and filing boxes, commercial bakery products, frozen foods, fabricated sheet-metal products, plastic illuminated signs, and cabinets, doors, and door mill products. Duncanville Industrial Corporation is the largest industrial area in the city and there are other industrial and commercially zones areas as well.
Duncanville Industrial Park
This 200 acre industrial park is located with the City limits and consists of 80 companies. The largest employer, Quality Cabinets, has expanded their site and investment in the City over the last two decades. In 1992, known at that time as Texwood Industries, they purchased two sites totaling 7.6 acres adjacent to their existing plant, and increased investment in capital equipment as well. In 1999, they completed a $12.5 million expansion, and in 2003 they constructed their corporate headquarters across from the existing plant.
Redbird Industrial Park
This 3,000 acre park is located near the City limits with approximately 135 companies providing over 30,000 jobs. The two largest employers are the Army Air Force Exchange (AAFES) with 2,400 employees, and Sweetheart Cup Co. with 800 employees. Other major tenants include Multi-Amp Corporation, Dart Manufacturing and North Texas Food Bank. J.D. Sims Company and Trammel Crow are the major developers for the remaining sites.
Duncanville's retail trade includes twelve shopping centers and five major department stores throughout the City and a regional mall and other retail centers in the surrounding area.
