CERTIFIED RETIREMENT COMMUNITY OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
MEETS: 2nd Thursday of each month
TIME: 6:30 p.m.
PLACE: City Hall, 203 E. Wheatland Road
STAFF MEMBER: Jeanne Fralicks-Heard, Interim City Manager

DUTIES:

A. To act as an advisory board to the City Council on matters pertaining to retiree settlement in the City of Duncanville.

B. To make recommendations to City staff regarding strategies for web marketing, advertising campaigns, and print media promoting the City of Duncanville and the State of Texas to potential retirees.

C. To make recommendations to City staff regarding programs designed to encourage retiree involvement in the recruitment of relocating individuals and couples, such as the CRC Ambassador Program.

D. To make recommendations to staff regarding methods for providing qualified volunteers and part-time employees to local businesses and civic organizations, such as a database of retirees desiring volunteer and part-time employment opportunities.

E. To work with the Convention & Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, and area organizations to develop and promote programs and special events that will attract potential retirees to the City.

F. To work with City staff to identify methods for increasing retirement community prestige.
